Penny Sicangco Bongato is the first Filipino and Asian to be a Certified Canfield Trainer in the Success Principles and in the Canfield Methodology. She has been privileged to learn from Jack Canfield himself—America’s #1 Success Coach, bestselling author, and the beloved originator of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series.
 
As a certified trainer in the Success Principles, she is fully equipped to practice and teach Jack Canfield’s tried and tested methods on how to achieve greater success in life.
 
As a certified trainer in the Canfield Methodology, she teaches from experience the principles of success and transformational teaching methods.

Penny is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) accredited by the International Coaching Federation, a leading global organization for professional coaches and coaching. She is also a certified Enhanced Practitioner by the Accelerating Coach Excellence, an internationally recognized program. 
 
Her goal is to further empower and equip more people to change and take control of their lives. As an experienced professional coach, she specializes in diversified types of coaching—career transition, life, success, leadership, executive, performance, among others.
 
Through the Success Principles and the Canfield Methodology, Penny employs a creative process that helps a person maximize his/her personal and professional potentials. She often works with individuals to unlock their capabilities and set clear goals, helping them in their journey in life and towards success.
 
She is also certified in the Barrett Tools for leadership coaching, a powerful coaching method that makes use of individual and organizational values to impact leadership behaviors.
 
 
 
 
Penny has authored three books—CAREER SHIFT: Follow Your Passion, ASK FOR A BIGGER BLANKET: ‘Wag Mamaluktot kung Maikli ang Kumot!, and FORWARD SHIFT: Managing Your Life in the Time of a Pandemic.
 
She also wrote her story entitled, “Proudly Filipino,” which Jack Canfield featured in his “Living the Success Principles” book.
 
 
 
With more than 20 years of experience, Penny is a seasoned human resource (HR) practitioner in the consumer IT and contact center industries.
 
Penny found her passion in people management—helping organizations grow by nurturing their people. This passion led her to HR executive functions in multinational companies in the Philippines.
 
As the first employee of Convergys Philippines, she served as the company’s HR Director, hiring more than 8,000 employees to be part of the biggest contact center in the country. She also worked with Headstrong Philippines as Regional HR Director for Asia and the Pacific, and with Logica Philippines (a European IT and BPO company) as HR Director.
 
She is also the former Executive Director for Talent Development of the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP). She is currently a trustee of the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP).
 
 
 
For more than a decade, Penny has been sharing in the academe the knowledge and wisdom she has gained from years of experience.
 
She is a part-time senior faculty at De La Salle College of St. Benilde, teaching in the Human Resource Management Program and Graduate Program. She also collaborated with the International Labor Organization in teaching women soft skills in the IT and Business Process Management industry.
 
Extending her mentorship to more people, she serves as the director and co-founder of PowerinU Training and Coaching Philippines Inc., an organization that specializes in value-adding strategic consulting solutions.
